Under the motto of “Offene Türen. Für offene Köpfe. Weil praktisches Wissen der Schlüssel zur Karriere ist.” (“Open doors. For open minds. Because practical knowledge is the key to a career.”), the VDE (German Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies) called to life the “YoungProfessionals Open 08” pilot project with its Bezirksverein Kurpfalz regional district organisation.
The Verband Deutscher Elektrotechnik und Elektroingenieure (VDE) offers its members, which also include the YoungProfessionals target group, an extensive marketing package comprising expertise, network and measures for professional development.
The aim of the range of “YoungProfessionals Open 08” events is to adapt expansion of the existing offer to the requirements of the young professionals target group in order to reinforce the attractiveness of membership in the association and thereby improve member loyalty.
Apart from theory, the essence of this range of events is to communicate practical knowledge in as experience-oriented manner as possible and to enable participants to gain an insight into the workings of well-known companies: the three co-operation partners Mercedes-Benz subsidiary in Mannheim-Heidelberg-Landau, ABB in Mannheim and BASF in Ludwigshafen are on board.
The “YoungProfessionals” target group comprises young professionals from the areas of engineering, electrical technology and IT. Not only existing but also ex-members and university graduates from the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region and the VDE Bezirk Kurpfalz e.V. conurbation area were also addressed.
The range of services offered by 2SBM includes concepting, creative realisation and production of the mailing, integration of the new range of events on the VDE-Bezirk Kurpfalz e.V. homepage, letter-shopping and dispatch of the mailing. Furthermore, 2SBM also takes care of recording feedback and handling the service office as well as event co-ordination in co-operation with the respective co-operation partners.
