Opening of the new Global Training Centre in Stuttgart-Vaihingen

DaimlerChrysler AG’s Global Training division, the group’s global knowledge transfer centre, opened its new headquarter at its Stuttgart-Vaihingen site in 2004 offering a total of 32,000 m² of usable space split across 5 wings and comprising 20 workshops equipped with the very latest technology.

Within the opening, 2SBM collaborated with its client, Global Training on the planning and organisation; the 3rd International Trainer Conference, held on 15 and 16 September 2004 for approx. 120 participants, the official opening ceremony on 7 October 2004 to which about 350 guests from the worlds of politics, business and sport were invited, the Staff Day on 9 October 2004 attended by 800 guests and a Neighbourhood Party held on 10 October 2004 enjoyed by 1,500 local residents.

The aim was to present the different aspects of the work of the Global Training and Development Service divisions in as transparent and comprehensible a way as possible and to inject life into the corporate claim “the finest automotive learning”.

2SBM was entrusted with the planning, communication (e.g. issuing invitations), coordination of all service providers (event construction and equipment, technology, security, hostess service, vehicle management) and on-site supervision of each individual event.
